Bagged potatoes accounted for 80% of dollar share in the category last year, according to Potatoes USA, and their preference for big bags is increasing.
The U.S. imported about 10.4 billion pounds, up from 10.2 billion pounds in 2023, according to the USDA.
Though bulk still dominates sales, consumers are turning more to these pack sizes to shopping convenience and smaller onions that are more recipe friendly.
