Scotch bonnet peppers vary from light yellow to orange or red and have an irregular, wrinkled "tam o' shanter" shape. They're similar to habanero peppers and are very spicy, with a Scoville rating of about 100,000 to 350,000 units, but have a more fruity flavor.
