Okra is a long thin pod ranging from light green to dark green.

  • Fairly mild and its sap creates a sticky texture

  • Often cooked and used in soups or stews as a complementary flavor. Do not cook in iron, copper or brass pans, as that causes a chemical reaction that turns okra black.
