RubyFrost apples have a balanced sweet-tart flavor with crispy flesh and a definite crunch. The variety was developed through Cornell University's apple breeding program and can be used for fresh eating or baking. Its high vitamin C content makes it slow to brown. It is grown exclusively in New York state by the members of Crunch Time Apple Growers.
