The humorous touches in this Lucky's Market in Naples, Fla. were one of my favorite elements — especially because the little comments started out with “We believe ...” like they might be offering some serious life advice.
Here’s an example: “The secret to staying young is to eat right, stay active and lie about your age.”
Another piece that caught my eye was a large, prominent display of local herbs, with a big sign with a photo of the grower and a few sentences about the family operation.
Lucky’s played up freshness in a big way in the store, from large colorful signs above the wet rack — “Grown here not flown here” and “The freshest produce you can get without a farmer’s tan” among them.

Naples had several beautiful grocery stores — take a look at these store checks of The Fresh Market, Wynn's Market and Oakes Farms Market. More photos from those locations are also up on our Flickr page.
