Publix rolling out online cooking classes

by Ashley Nickle, Jan 04, 2019

Online cooking classes will soon be available from Publix, with the first episode set to debut Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. EST on YouTube.

The theme of the first show is “Get Cooking in the New Year,” and two Publix Aprons Cooking School chefs will show viewers three meals to create with an oven-roasted chicken.

Two more episodes launch in February and March. Romantic meals are the focus for the February class, and the March class will focus on appetizers.

Classes will be taught by two Publix Aprons Cooking School chefs, and viewers can submit questions for them via live chat as each episode premieres, according to a news release. Ingredient lists and recipes will be available ahead of time at publix.com/onlineclasses.

Two of the three recipes the chefs will feature in the first class include fresh produce. The Asian-Style Vegetable Salad recipe calls for green onions, butternut squash spirals, zucchini spirals, shredded cabbage and matchstick carrots, and the Harissa Chicken with Sweet Potatoes and Yogurt Sauce calls for sweet potato chunks and fresh English peas.
