The Food and Drug Administration says Alma Pak International has voluntarily recalled 400 of its 30-pound boxes of organic blueberries due to a positive test result for Listeria monocytogenes during routine testing.
The FDA has classified this recall as a Class 1; there is a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.
The product was shipped to one customer in North Carolina, and the lot codes involved include 13325 G1060 and 13325 G 1096, according to the FDA.
