Aldi has promoted Karla Waddleton to chief operating officer.
Waddleton, who began her career with Aldi over 20 years ago as a district manager in St. Louis, shared her excitement about the new role in a LinkedIn post, saying, “I am honored and thrilled to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer for Aldi USA … I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside an extraordinary team committed to our mission.
“One of the things I love most about working here is the amazing people I get to work with — from those I have had the privilege to hire, to my colleagues, and especially those I visit in our stores and warehouses,” she continued. “It’s inspiring to see the uniqueness of our employees and hear their stories. Each person contributes significantly to enhancing the customer experience and brings ideas that help us improve continually. At Aldi, particularly within the Rosenberg Division, which I have supported since establishing in 2016, we have made remarkable strides in serving our communities across Texas, including vibrant cities like Houston and Austin.
