TerraFresh Organics citrus program starts soon

New fruit company TerraFresh Organics, Mill Valley, Calif., is starting out with citrus and mangoes under the Earth Greens Organic label.

The company will be displaying product at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit expo, at the Misionero booth, No. 3167.

TerraFresh will be sourcing citrus from California, Mexico and Peru, according to a news release, with early/Valencia and navel oranges, lemons and grapefruit. The company will be providing customers with a year-round supply of organic citrus, according to the release.

Mangoes from Ecuador, Peru and Mexico will be available nearly year-round.

“In only a few weeks, we’ll be providing customers with fresh, organic citrus from Mexico to add to our current supply of mangoes from the finest growing regions,” Greg Holzman, co-founder and managing partner of TerraFresh Organics, said in the Oct. 14 release. “We’ve built strong relationships with our growers in Latin America and the U.S. and are confident in the excellent organic produce they provide.”

Commitment to organic, sustainability and quality are important traits for TerraFresh growers, according to the company.

TerraFresh has packing and loading operations in Central and Southern California, Nogales, Ariz., McAllen, Texas, and Toughkenamon, Pa., according to the release.
