Potatoes USA seeks nominations

Potatoes USA, the national research and promotion group, is seeking nominees for 73 open seats on its board.

The board terms run from 2020-23, with positions available in these states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. There’s also positions for importers, according to a news release.

All state potato organizations have received information and materials to begin the nomination process, according to the release. Appointed growers will be seated on the board at the Potatoes USA annual meeting, March 9-12 in Denver.

The nomination process will be closed by Aug. 15, according to the release.
