Let’s Blend holidays: mushrooms in stuffing, green bean casserole

Monterey Mushrooms has a seasonal package for the Let’s Blend line of finely diced mushrooms, inviting consumers to use the products in stuffing, green bean casseroles and other holiday menu items.

There are three styles in the Let’s Blend line: Classic, Mexican and Italian, available in 8-ounce packages.

The flavored mushroom mixes can also be used for chili, pasta dishes and other meals traditionally eating in the winter, according to a news release. The company suggests replacing or cutting back on meat with the Let’s Blend products.

“People want to eat better without giving up flavor and texture,” Lindsey Roberts, Monterey Mushrooms marketing manager, said in the release. “Let’s Blend works well with ground beef, chicken, lamb, pork or turkey. It makes meat juicer without adding fat or cholesterol.”

Let’s Blend products are available next to fresh mushrooms at grocery stores. They save kitchen prep time during the busy holiday season, according to the company.

“We hope people make Let’s Blend finely diced mushrooms part of their holiday celebrations,” Roberts said.
