Index Fresh invites avocado growers to seminars
Riverside, Calif.-based Index Fresh is again inviting California avocado growers to attend seminars to boost crop productivity.
The company’s 22nd seminar series is scheduled for Oct. 17 in San Luis Obispo, Oct. 23 in Ventura, and Oct. 31 in Fallbrook.
The seminars, “Fall Management Practices to Improve Spring Flower,” will be presented by Gerardo Aldunate, agronomist and fruit production consultant who has worked with Index Fresh and avocado growers around the world, according to a news release.
Index Fresh has been hosting seminars in California avocado regions since 2011, according to the release.
“One of the critical time frames in avocado farming occurs during the spring bloom, but if you wait until then to prepare your trees, you’re too late,” Aldunate said in the release. “You can make a big difference in the outcome of next year’s crop if you anticipate and know what’s within your control, and address those needs now.”
