Get Fresh Cos. expands, hires Andy Hamilton as SR VP
Get Fresh Cos. of Las Vegas has completed an expansion of its processing division.
The facility has a new 30,000-square-foot kitchen facility and 10,000 more square feet in its Get Fresh Cuts operation, according to a news release.
“This will provide our retail and foodservice customers more opportunities for value-add fresh produce,” Dominic Caldara, Get Fresh founder, said in the release. “Our mission is to help our customers grow, and it’s the driving force behind the building of this USDA Kitchen and our value-add expansion.”
The company has a variety of deli items, meal solutions and an expanded line of value-added products. Get Fresh Cos. serves about 75% of the foodservice and hospitality customers in Las Vegas, with 185,000 square feet devoted to fresh food operations at two Las Vegas facilities.
Andy Hamilton was recently hired as senior vice president of business development to lead the rollout of new products and increased foodservice and retail offerings. Most recently, Hamilton was the CEO of Eco Farms, and he was also vice president of sales at IFCO, and he has also worked at Chiquita Brands International.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Get Fresh and our customers who have been asking us to expand our capacity to serve their fresh food needs,” Hamilton said in the release. “The USDA kitchen allows us to develop new lines from Grab and Go, to deli cuts, to fresh salads featuring proteins – we believe the sky’s the limit.”
Caldara said Hamilton’s experience working with retailers, including Walmart, Food Lion and Sam’s Club, will allow the company to showcase its new capabilities to customers.
“Growing our business is the by-product, serving our customers more effectively is the goal,” he said in the release.
