Duda imports citrus for the 17th season
Oviedo, Fla.-based Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc. has launched its import citrus program for the 17th consecutive season.
The program runs from mid-May through October. Duda imported citrus includes clementines, lemons, navels and Cara Cara oranges under the Dandy label, according to a news release.
“As consumer demand for citrus in the summer increases, we will continue to meet that need through our citrus import program,” Alberto Cuellar, vice president of global business for Duda, said in the release. “Importing citrus from our growers in the southern hemisphere allows us to provide a solution to seasonal gaps in the U.S. market.”
Duda primarily sources fruit from Chile, Peru and Uruguay and plans to add Morocco and Argentina, according to the release.
