CPS web seminar focuses on wildlife and fresh produce safety
A web seminar sponsored by the Center for Produce Safety will cover the risk of wildlife in fresh produce food safety.
The free seminar is scheduled for 10 a.m. Pacific, Jan. 15. Registration is available online.
Speakers, according to a news release, are:
- Alan Franklin, supervisory research biologist, and project leader of the Wildlife Pathogens and Food Security & Safety Project, at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s Wildlife Service’s National Wildlife Research Center; and
- Michele Jay-Russell, research microbiologist and manager of the Western Center for Food Safety at the University of California-Davis.
They will talk about management tools, CPS research and other topics related to wildlife and produce food safety.
