Bonduelle releases limited edition turkey Bistro bowl
This is one Thanksgiving-themed meal that won’t have you making post-holiday diet plans.
The salad, in Bonduelle Fresh Americas’ Bistro line, is under 250 calories and has nine grams of protein, according to a news release. It is available through January.
Ingredients include smoked turkey breast, feta cheese, dried cranberries, arugula and baby greens, a pomegranate-orange vinaigrette and topped with a cornbread crumble.
“The holidays are certainly a time to indulge, but we believe that indulgence can be balanced with healthier choices throughout the months ahead,” Priscila Stanton, vice president of marketing for Bonduelle Fresh Americas.
Americans consume an average of 4,500 calories during Thanksgiving dinner, according to the Calorie Control Council, Stanton said in the release.
“Our chef crafted a delicious, satisfying option, packed with fresh veggies, to give consumers something healthier to enjoy, but still allow them to delight in the flavors of the season,” she said in the release.
The company introduced its first limited edition Bistro bowls in 2016. Past releases have included Pumpkin Spice, Roasted Corn with Pulled Pork & BBQ Drizzle, and Roasted Beets & Baby Greens.
