Bonduelle debuts line of heat-and-eat meals

CHICAGO – Bonduelle Fresh Americas launched its Heat & Heat Harvest Bowl product line June 11 at the United Fresh Produce Association conference and expo.

Items in the line include Basil Pesto Turkey, Moroccan Inspired Chicken, Chipotle Chicken and Korean Inspired Beef. The products are in some West Coast retailers now and are expected to roll out nationwide later this year.

“People want to eat healthy, but they don’t want to compromise on taste,” said senior marketing manager Stephen Reilly. “We just wanted to create a delicious meal that also fills them up. Salads will carry you for a certain amount, but sometimes you just want a little bit more sustenance, so it was really important for us to have really good satiation but carried with a delicious flavor but also a mix of vegetables, grains and meats.”

The company also featured at its booth a new limited time offering in its Ready Pac Foods Bistro Bowl line – the Tropical Mango Salad, which includes a mango-cilantro dressing. That item has been shipping for about a month and is available nationwide.
