Mucci International Marketing is a greenhouse vegetable grower, packer and shipper committed to quality, food safety, and the needs of the consumer market. Growing gourmet greenhouse vegetables since the 1960s, the company markets over 300 acres of greenhouse product across North America. Innovative from the beginning, Mucci International Marketing is proud of its open-minded approach and steady growth over the past 50 years. Readily embracing new technologies, they were one of the first farms to invest in large scale commercial glass greenhouses and later to move to biomass as a heating source. More recently, they have developed a ?garbage boiler? that runs on waste from municipal landfills. Operating with a sustainable fuel source, this boiler reduces local waste and meets emission standards significantly higher than those set for oil or coal.Earth Day Every DayWorking within an industry that?s naturally ?earth-friendly,? Mucci International Marketing has committed to actively engage in environmentally sustainable business practices through their Earth Day Every Day program. Integrated Pest Management (using ?good bugs? to prey on ?bad bugs?) minimizes the use of pesticides in the greenhouses, while all of their waste water is sterilized and recycled, meaning a significant reduction in water usage compared to traditional farming methods. Mucci International Marketing has also replaced all gas-operated forklifts with electric forklifts, added skylights to utilize natural light, is in the process of making all packaging sustainable, and has converted to a variety of alternative fuel sources (including demolition wood and garbage boilers), giving them flexibility in case of wild market fluctuations. Product LineOriginally breaking into the market with its beefsteak tomatoes, Mucci International Marketing has expanded its product line with other tomato varieties and a number of other standard and specialty greenhouse vegetables since then. Included in their standard product line are sweet bell peppers, English cucumbers and mini cucumbers, beefsteak tomatoes, cluster tomatoes and Roma tomatoes. Their specialty line includes Sapori? cocktail tomatoes, Sun Drops? grape tomatoes, cocktail CuteCumbers?, baby eggplant, zucchini, Bella Sweets? mini peppers and Rustico? sweet long peppers.
